is ceteayl alcohol halal i have read the ingredients of my body lotion and think it is haram????

this ingrediet struck me as i found that it can either be extracted from plants or animals. People say perfume are haram due to the alcohol they contain. but from my research i have found out that not all alcohols are haram most vary. such as alcohol denta which is halal. however alcohols which cause intoxitation are haram.

i don’t think that ceteayl alcohol is haram because it is not really an alcohol. It can also be made artificilly. It is used in many cosmetics as an emollient, thickening agent, moisturizer, emulsifier, stabilizer.
The only alchol that is haram is the one you drink, and this one you can’t drink.
